Draft only. This page is a planning placeholder and must be reviewed by qualified legal and insurance professionals before Healthy as Hell accepts retreat bookings.
This draft is provided for planning only. It is not legal advice and must be reviewed before bookings open.
Why this will matter
An international active retreat can involve substantial nonrefundable costs, medical care away from home, evacuation, delays, missed connections, baggage issues, itinerary disruption, and activities that an ordinary policy may exclude. Final booking documents are expected to address travel insurance, but no specific requirement, provider, policy, or minimum benefit has been approved.
Healthy as Hell does not sell insurance or decide claims. Any future examples should be educational rather than personal recommendations, and guests should compare actual policy wording with their health circumstances, citizenship, residence, itinerary, payment timing, and risk tolerance.
Questions a guest may need to answer
Relevant topics include emergency medical limits, evacuation and repatriation, cancellation and interruption, preexisting-condition rules, activity and elevation exclusions, snorkeling and boat coverage, supplier default, delays, missed connections, baggage, deductibles, documentation, assistance access from Indonesia, and the date coverage begins.
- Does the insurer confirm each planned activity in writing?
- What events and reasons for cancellation are actually covered?
- Are there purchase deadlines for important benefits or waivers?
- Who arranges and pays for emergency transport?
- What records and notification steps does a claim require?
Complete before launch
The final page must align with the confirmed retreat contract, cancellation policy, assumption-of-risk document, business insurance, supplier requirements, and advice from qualified professionals. It should state the guest's obligation in plain language without suggesting that buying a policy guarantees recovery of every loss.
